Having studied Myotherapy at RMIT University, Jodie regularly uses muscle testing, cupping, dry needling and rock-taping in her treatments, and also practises manual lymphatic drainage, reiki, abdominal massage and esoteric acupuncture.
Jodie enjoys working with her clients to allow their bodies to function at their optimal level. She has worked closely with a range of athletes, including professional gridiron and basketball teams, as well as circus performers.
Being community minded, Jodie has volunteered with Hands on Health to treat remote communities in Udaipur, India and underprivileged residents in Collingwood. Most recently she recently traveled to Thailand to volunteer Myotherapy treatments with a local Long Neck Karen tribe near Chiang Mai.
In her spare time, Jodie enjoys practising circus arts and studying anatomy. She is excited to apply her interests to her study of Chiropractic at RMIT from 2017.
Sarah brings with her over 8 years of experience in remedial massage. Since qualifying in Melbourne in 2008, she has worked in various clinics here and interstate. Whilst in Sydney, Sarah honed her skills working in a multi-disciplinary alongside chiropractors, a sports podiatrist, a natural nutritionist and yoga/pilates’ instructors.
Prior to massage, Sarah had a successful career working in both corporate and public sectors so she understands firsthand the pressures of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Sarah believes in the importance of ‘time out’ and brings a nurturing element to all of her treatments.
One aspect of work-life balance which Sarah is particularly passionate about is nutritious food. Sarah spends her time away from the clinic scouring the web for the latest recipes and preparing delicious wholesome meals.
Sarah is also trained in myofascial cupping which can assist in reducing fascial adhesions and maintaining soft tissue function. She has recently completed a Kinesiology Rocktape Course – ask her for a demonstration at your next visit! Sarah is registered with all the major health funds.
