Chiropractic Education and Training

Prior to Michael’s chiropractic education at RMIT University he received an Honours degree in Biochemistry from the University of Southampton (UK).  This has provided Michael with a unique insight into the internal workings of the body and how chiropractic positively benefits our internal health.

Dealing with More Complex Cases

Michael holds a Post Doctorate studies in Chiropractic Neuro Rehabilitation.  This qualification gives Michael the skills and knowledge to fulfill his special interest in dealing with more complex cases, particularly patients that experience the neuromusculoskeletal presentations of balance disorders, dizziness, vertigo, and migraines.  In addition, Michael has recently completed further study in Functional Neuro-Orthopaedic Rehabilitation providing him with the skills to rehabilitate both athletic and everyday wear and tear injuries.

Teaching

In addition to clinical practice, Michael is a University academic at Central Queensland University.  Michael is the lead academic for the Neurology stream of the Chiropractic Department.  He teaches Anatomy and Basic Neurology throughout the Bachelors course as well as to the Masters students in the subject, Advanced Clinical Neurology & Diagnosis.

Outside the Practice

Michael is a keen sportsman with Basketball being his primary choice of sport, although he would be happy playing any sport!  Along with his wife and daughter, they travel the world meeting and interacting with the wonderful cultures that exist.  Michael is also a member of the Chiropractic Association of Australia and is a board member of the Victorian branch where he volunteers for the advancement and promotion of the Chiropractic profession.

Dr Travers Price

BSc (HumBiol), BAppSci (Clinical Sci), BAppSci (Chiro)

With over a decade of experience, Dr Price has practised both in Australia and overseas.  Travers graduated from RMIT University in 2005, completing a double degree in Chiropractic and Clinical Science.  He also has a degree in Applied Science (Human Biology) and regularly undertakes further professional development in various areas of interest, including; scoliosis, nutrition and chiropractic technique. With a caring manner and holistic approach, Travers strives to improve each individual patient’s health goals.  Away from the clinic, Travers regularly enjoys spending time with his young family, playing tennis and travel.
